Boo! Life is busy. Insanely so - if I had known what direction things would go after AC way back in July, I would likely not have sat around for three days unloading badges on everyone under the sun. I owe a lot of people a lot of shit, and I have a huge list of who is supposed to get what. No work today, because there's about 10 inches of floodwater in my neighborhood. I very nearly parked in the street yesterday - I had the foresight to pull into the drive, otherwise my car would be halfway down the highway by now. Storms were nasty enough that we pulled the router and computers last night for fear of electrical damage, hence no ustream.

Most of the south side of the city, apparently, is flooded. All of my co-workers save my boss' boss can't get to the office. I called Evol and Greg to check on them. There's flooding around them, but nothing got in, and her school is closed today.

I've met people my own age (or older) who can't even spell their own name without fucking it up.

I've met people who go through life with no motivation for higher education and no desire to achieve and become more than they are now - people who are content to roll over and wallow in hedonism and mooch off the rest.

I've watched people twice the age of high school students (with half the intellect) pretending and acting as such.

People I work with everyday demonstrate a preference for the bland, obvious, droll and petty tripe in life over something more.

I do wonder.
